Funny episodes included in the Season 6 DVD set
Included in the Season 6 DVD set is “The Return of Lord of the Rings to the Two Towers” episode, one of the funniest South Park episodes ever! In that episode, a parody of the LOTR movie, the 6th graders are attracted to the power of an adult DVD, unknown to the main characters Kyle, Stan and Cartman, who surmise that the DVD’s powers are great and must be destroyed. On their journey to destroy the DVD, they encounter many funny obstacles along the way.

Another great season.
After five seasons of non-stop laughs and political incite, South Park began 2002 with a bang in its sixth season. This season was a season for experimenting with new ideas that would take the show in a whole new direction. For starters, Kenny McCormick, who had previously served as one of the main characters (the one who would die in almost every episode) was dead and burried. Replacing him for the first five episodes of this season was Leopold “Butters” Stotch. He was then fired and replaced by Tweek. Also in this season, the kids’ fourth grade teacher, Ms. Choksondik, is killed and replaced by the old third grade teacher, Mr. Garrison, who instead of toting around Mr. Hat is now shoving small animals up the ass of his new teacher’s assistant and boyfriend, Mr. Slave.

The following 17 episodes are included in this boxed set:

Jarred Has Aides - A great start to a great season. This episode rips on Jarred, the man who became famous for losing weight while eating at Subway. Butters quickly steps forward as one of the main characters by becoming fat, then having liposuction surgery in a plot to say that he lost weight eating at City Wok.

Asspen - Another classic episode. In this one, the boys visit Aspen, Colorado, where Stan takes on skiing to save a youth center.

Freak Strike - A fairly average episode. In this one, Butters goes on the Maury Povich show with balls on his chin, then Cartman goes on as an out-of-control child.

Fun With Veal - The boys become eco-terrorists as part of a plot to save baby calves from the veal factory, but then Stan grows sick with vaginitus.

The New Terrance and Phillip Movie Trailer - One of the funniest episodes of the season. The boys travel from house to house to watch the Russel Crowe: Fightin’ ‘Round the World show so that they can see the trailer for the new Terrance and Phillip movie, Asses of Fire 2.

Professor Chaos - In this landmark episode, Stan, Kyle, and Cartman fire Butters and hold auditions for a new fourth friend. A vengeful Butters then vows to bring terror and chaos to the world as he becomes Professor Chaos.

Simpsons Already Did It - This episode kicks off Tweek’s reign as the fourth friend. Ms. Choksondik dies, Cartman creates a sea-ciety, and Butters comes up with diabolical scheme after diaboloical scheme only to find out that “Simpsons did it!”

Red Hot Catholic Love - With all the priest molestation cases taking place, the boys’ parents decide to become atheists. Cartman bets Kyle $20 that if you eat with your butt, you’ll crap out your mouth… and wins. Meanwhile, Father Maxi journeys to the Vatican to put a stop to the priest molestation and save Catholicism.

Free Hat - Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Tweek journey to George Lucas’s house to save Raiders of the Lost Ark from being another victim to movies remade and ruined by their directors.

Bebe’s Boobs Destroy Society - This is the only episode of the season that I don’t like. Bebe develops boobs, the boys start acting like apes, and a horribly out-of-character Wendy gets breast implants.

Child Abduction is Not Funny - But this episode sure is. Tweek is abducted and the parents order Lu Kim, owner of City Wok, to build a city wall around South Park. With all the media reports of increased child abductions, the parents send their children off to live on their own and they become Mongolians.

A Ladder to Heaven - Tweek appears to have been fired as the fourth friend. In this, quite possibly the best episode of the season, Stan, Kyle, and Cartman build a ladder to heaven in an attempt to get their winning ticket stub back from Kenny so that they can go on a candy shopping spree. Cartman consumes Kenny’s ashes and his soul starts living on inside of Cartman’s body. The president is informed that Saddam Hussein is building weapons of mass destruction in heaven and decides he needs to bomb heaven.

The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers - A hilarious spoof of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Stan’s parents accidentally mix up their porno with the Lord of the Rings and Butters becomes obsessed with the porno.

The Death Camp of Tolerance - Mr. Garrison is hired back as the new fourth grade teacher in place of the late Ms. Choksondik. He gets a new teacher’s assistant, Mr. Slave, and shoves the classroom gerbil Lemmiwinks up his ass. Lemmiwinks goes on a Hobbit-like journey to escape from the gay man’s ass while the boys are sent to tolerance camp for not tolerating their teachers’ homosexual behavior.

The Biggest Douche in the Universe - Cartman is running out of time. Chef takes the boys to see John Edward so that he can communicate with Kenny’s soul. Realizing that John Edward is a douche, Chef and Ms. Cartman take Cartman to Scotland so that Chef’s parents can perform an exorcism on Cartman. Kyle is convinced that his deceased grandmother wants him to attend Jewleeard and so Stan tries to prove to the world that John Edward can’t talk to the dead and is nothing but a douche.

My Future Self n’ Me - Stan’s future self comes back to the present and he’s a total slob. Stan then discovers that Butters also has a future self. After some sleuthing, they find out it’s all a plot by their parents to keep them off of drugs and away from alcohol. With a little help from Cartman, they plot their revenge.

Red Sleigh Down - Upon discovering that he’s getting nothing but coal for Christmas, Cartman decides to bring Christmas joy to Iraq. Instead, Santa’s sleigh gets shot down and he is kidnapped by the Iraqis. Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Mr. Hankey, and Jesus have to journey to Iraq to save Santa and bring Christmas joy to the people. Santa is saved, but Jesus is killed. Kenny returns at the end of the episode. Jimmy sings The 12 Days of Christmas.

This is a great season and will make an excellent addition to anyone’s DVD collection. Also be sure to check out the first five seasons of South Park!

“Simpsons did it, Simpsons did it!!!”
The sixth season of South Park saw creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone using the animated Comedy Central cash cow to poke fun at anyone (Jared from the Subway commercials for one), everyone, and really, anything that pops into their heads. Beginning with Stan, Kyle, and Cartman deciding to make Butters their fourth friend (replacing the late Kenny, who actually stayed dead, for a while anyway), and the later after he gets fired, he becomes the villainous (or so he thinks) Professor Chaos; bent on world destruction, even though everything he thinks of has already been done on the Simpsons (the instant classic “Simpsons Already Did It”). Also during this season, the kids and their parents take a trip to Aspen, the kids have to watch Russell Crowe’s reality series so they can see the trailer for the new Terrence & Philip movie, the boys visit a farm and decide to hide the baby animals, the boys meet psychic John Edwards, and a China-esque wall gets built around the town. The bawdy, irreverent lunacy of past seasons is maintained here to full effect, and this is animated cable TV comedy at its very best. The only downside of season six of South Park is that after this season, the writing took a bit of a downward slide for a bit, but make no mistake, South Park still remains the reigning king of original animated cable comedy. Definitely a must own for longtime fans of the show.

But the good news is that South Park has always been able to maintain a mathematical-like balance of proportionality so impressive it could be charted on a graph: as South Park gets weirder, so it gets funnier (usually). Which makes sense because one of South Park’s greatest strengths has always been to reflect the strangest elements of society, which, let’s face it, are pretty strange. Targets this season include exploitive daytime TV shows (”Freak Strike”), celebrities gone wild (Russell Crowe fightin’ round the world), the Catholic priest sexual-abuse scandals (”Red Hot Catholic Love”), and the meat industry (”Fun With Veal”). Creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker even parody the reality of competing with The Simpsons’s longevity in “The Simpsons Already Did It,” where Butters, gone out of his mind and in his Professor Chaos persona, can’t even come up with an original evil scheme to unleash on the citizens of South Park. Fortunately for fans, the quality of the writing is as strong this season as it has been at any point in the show’s run, and it’s not like the show’s going to back off from its trademark gross-out factor at this point. Proof of that can be found in “The Death Camp of Tolerance.” In an extreme satire of sex education class, Mr. Slave and Lemmiwinks, the heroic and intensely unfortunate gerbil, make their, umm, debuts. This is a incredible ancient film, one of Hitchcock’s most terse. Terrific acting, simple super space but Dreadful DVD transfer; grainy image and very thin audio. Avoid this until someone releases a better print. So far so unpleasant with the HITCHCOCK COLLECTION.

Released in 1936, SABOTAGE is a first class example of what makes Alfred hitchcock the master of suspense. As a die hard fan of Hitchcock, I will admit that I originally bought this film on the bargain shelf to complete my collection. After one viewing I had an fresh approved Hitchcock film. The station is simple…London is being hit with acts of sabotage and the police suspect the owner of a limited movie theater is responsible.An undercover agent tries to rep information from the mans unsuspecting wife. The set may be simple but the complex emotions that are revealed as the sage progresses are not. Sylvia Sydney is outstanding as the wife and does an outstanding job in her portrayal of a woman whos entire world is crumbling around her, and she often does it without uttering a single word. Hitchcock is known for the style of his movies and trust me, this movie is one of his most stylish. Student filmmakers should be required to seek this movie to learn how to invent suspense and intrigue. If you have ever seen and loved a Hitchcock movie, watching this movie will indicate that his modern sense of emotion and humor was fully intact even in his earlier films. I will ruin this by fair saying…Recognize this movie.

So out comes a describe of the Mickey Mouse Choo Choo Yelp whine that Mickey and the gang need to search for so they can bring it out to Mistletoe Mountain to bring succor the special snow to play in. Off the Professor goes to Mistletoe Mountain while Mickey and the gang score the Choo Choo Thunder mutter out of storage and meander in it on their map to collect all that ravishing non-melting snow.

The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Choo Choo Jabber is led by a locomotive with Mickey Mouse as the engineer. Then comes the protest cars that are each in a different shape and color; pink circle, yellow triangle, blue rectangle, green square caboose, then red heart, pink hexagon, blue diamond and eventually a yellow star. As they chug along, the railroad tracks reach out of the “mouth” on the stutter locomotive in different colored sections. They have adventures and problems that kids have to aid the Mickey Mouse gang solve with the serve of special Mouse tools.

Once they regain to Mistletoe Mountain, they seize up the special snow that Professor Von Drake created and hold it support to the Clubhouse, then they must recall the screech and go choose up guests for their snow party. They chug along to buy up Clarabelle cow and her dog Bella, then Chip and Dale and finally a couple of mystery guests who turn out to be Santa and Mrs. Claus.

There is plenty of up-beat music and singing throughout the episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Choo Choo Inform. I sat cuddled up with my four year ancient special needs grandson and we watched the episode and laughed and had a gracious time. He didn’t want me to narrate along with the songs though, guess he knows his grandma attractive well! At one point he broke out in hysterical laughter when Mickey Mouse skied down a mound of snow and snow flipped onto Donald Duck, making him peruse like a snowman Donald.

I would definitely recommend Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Choo Choo Verbalize for any young children, mostly those under six years feeble. My four year old-fashioned grandson loved it. He loves trains and the episode completely captured his attention. My eight year passe grandson watched the episode from beginning to waste but I didn’t hear him say a lot about it and the ten year veteran wasn’t into it at all.

The Young Indiana Jones adventures reach to DVD. Agreed I wish it was cheaper but then contemplate you are dealing with Paramount that charges over $100 per season for any of the Star Prance series. Considering that each episode is an hour and a half movie in itself and this does not seem quite so unreasonable. Furthermore it includes alot of extras whether you want them or not. I grant you I would like to sight a 7 disk edition of impartial the episodes for a substancial savings. Personally I’m unprejudiced thrilled to finally seek them reach to DVD. I am obvious if you’re patient you can probably procure a package deal once all the volumes are released. The second volume is to be released December 2007 and the third volume in the Spring of 2008. If you shop around I judge you will glean Amazon has the best Pre-order imprint so far. The suggested retail being advertised several places is over $100. So I’m ordering mine here and now. This position is tall family entertainment. It may not always have as powerful excitement and comedy as the Jone’s movies, but it makes up for it in other ways including agreeable drama, history, and locations. I highly recomend this place.

Addendum:

Pro: This region is like seven feature length movies revolving around two stories on each disc. The documentaries created by George Lucas are quite friendly so please don’t rate it based on the tag. The whole family will be pleased this place and the movies alone are easily worth $11.50 each. I received my state and viewed the first disc. The first disc was arresting and definite and the first episode and the four documentaries on it were all quite absorbing. I’m looking forward to watching the other 11 discs.

Con: Does not include the scenes of aged Indiana Jones. In fact the overall editing is dreadful. You will examine episodes ending abruptly or jumping to an older Jones, then a younger Jones. The other con is the box is the standard Paramount cheap folding carboard with plastic disc inserts stuck in a flimsy mask like all the Star Move sets. I would have preferred seven slim plastic DVD cases for the discs save in a firm cardboard hide. Sometimes the greed of Paramount really shows. I don’t mind paying the high label for quality. The series is worth the imprint, I impartial don’t contemplate Paramount should have packaged such a stout series in such a cheap box.

If you don’t already have this series on some format you may want this area as it may be years before they become available with the slice scenes save succor it. If on the other hand you have the unique televised series, forget this region and figure a method to pick up yours transferred to DVD.

What is particularly insulting is the draw in which the unusual pilot episode YOUNG INDIANA JONES AND THE CURSE OF THE JACKAL has lost its novel second half which creates a discordant jump in the edited version on this spot which is now called MY FIRST ADVENTURE

in the new version the legend revolves around the theft of an Jackal headpiece from an egyptian tomb which is first investigated by young Indiana as played by Corey Carrier and then resolved by Sean Patrick Flannerys 16 year feeble version of Indy. the new version was well balanced, provocative and was resolved in the state of one episode. in the botched up version on this space all the Sean Patrick Flannerry material is gone, replaced with a tale about Child slavery (episode 41) which renders MY FIRST ADVENTURE as a hatchet job.

Im selling my situation and keeping my Current, UNCUT, off air copies from the unusual transmissions, as they are what I and a substantial number of fans wish to have instead of this travesty

This is one of the best films to advance out of Cuba in a long time. The acting by the two young artists, Tarrau Broche and Milo Avila, is truly unbelievable. The music is righteous and the scenery ratifies the exclamation of Christopher Columbus when he landed in Cuba: “The most blooming land man has ever seen.” Truly a work of art by director Juan Carlos Cremata. BRAVO! Rent it or lift it; you will not be disappointed.

Having never even read a review, we rented this film. It was wonderfully done, beefy of Cuba images and culture. The epic centers around 2 children and their esteem and friendship. The adults play a smaller role but aloof strongly projected by the director. In a moment of desperation the two children race away as the adults around them do not retort them. They do not feel that they have a choice but to glide to choose the station. Improbable scenes of Cuba…improbable really!

I can record very well to this film. I saw it my senior year of high school in 1991, but I didn’t gaze how apt it rang for me until today. Like Lucas, I was unpopular but outgoing. Many students looked down on me because I was in special education and was considered ’stupid’. I also had a crush on a cheerleader and did everything to score her attention. And also like Lucas, my heart was crushed when she decided to date a football player. I was even told by one of the teachers to stick with my fill kind (he didn’t say those Genuine words, but it sounded that plan) when he talked to her about me. The ample news was the hurt I felt healed in time.

That is why I like Lucas. It is a movie I can represent to, and is beefy of honesty. Unlike a few other 80s teen films, it doesn’t stereotype it’s characters. Lucas is not a stereotypical geek because he is spellbinding, Cappy is not your stereotypical jock because he has a fine heart and looks out for Lucas, and Maggie is not your stereotypical high school cheerleader because she doesn’t act snotty. Looking assist on this film now would be a swagger through innocence because many of the main stars have had their part of distress in novel years. Aloof, if you want to notice a enormous film that takes an objective gawk at teen angst, ‘Lucas’ hits the suitable buttons.

Well, maybe I guess it is an 80’s teen movie, but unlike other 80’s teen movies this film is incandescent and has a heart.

The other movies from this genre are location driven. Honestly, how many different titles has the account of “Can’t Occupy me Treasure” had? This movie however has taken a different perspective to discover at teenage years and took the advance to drive the record from the characters, not location.

The movie is mettlesome by not taking the easy draw out (except for one scene which I won’t end) and I respect that. It also makes the movie less predictable and more captivating to notice for us the audience.

I contemplate this movie is the best movie of the teen movie genre. I loved Ferris Beuller, Sixteen Candles, and the other John Hughes greats. Those films were also loads more humerous too, but Lucas aims to do more than execute laughs and I applaude its efforts.

OK, the comedy got weaker at this point, but I’m getting this for the sole reason that it contains the episode with David Bowie performing 3 songs with Klaus Nomi. His weirdest live TV performance ever! Bowie performs TVC-15 (wearing a form-fitting dress), Boys Withhold Swinging (his head super-imposed on a marionette’s body) and the Man Who Sold the World (dressed in a futurist-like outfit Nomi often wore on stage)! Other essential musical acts of the time who appear include Gary Numan, Blondie, The Specials, The B-52s, J. Geils Band. Not to mention classic acts like the Grateful Dreary, Marianne Faithful, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan. Some well-known hosts include Steve Martin, Bea Arthur, Eric Sluggish, Howard Hessman, Burt Reynolds and Martin Sheen. Should be racy…

Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi have moved on. Harry Shearer (draw before Spinal Tap and before anyone really appreciated his talents) arrives to recall their spot. He brings with him his drier, more clever reach to comedy and the note moves somewhat away from the harder-edged belly laughs that Dan & John traded in. Also, with their absence, Jane Curtin blossoms as she is given far more character work to do. Bill Murray moves front and center as undisputed male star of the indicate. Gilda is composed the audience’s celebrated female. Sadly, Laraine Newman & Garrett Morris seem to be barely holding on. This is also the season that introduced the “featured player.” As a result, we fetch to thrill to the comedic stylings of Dan’s brother, Peter Aykroyd, and Bill’s genius older brother Brian Doyle-Murray. We regain more Father Guido Sarducci (aka Don Novello) and a bunch more Al Franken & Tom Davis. We gather some enormous hosts (always loved me some Howard Hesseman, Rodney Dangerfield, and Bea Arthur!) and unbelievable music. Because of the shift is cast, this season gets plot more uneven but the original energy - when it works - seems to breathe novel life into the already-predictable format. This season does not fetch aired mighty due to it being Dan-&-John-less, so it’s big to examine it coming out on DVD finally!

These DVDs absorb mostly personal stories and less historical accuracy of how each war broke out and why. It did not even go into why the American revolution started.

I got this dvd location for my husband, the history geek. He loves it. And I like that Amazon has it at such a grand impress.
