Kind of surprising that such a accepted and titillating film, with a obedient cast, clever yarn and fun effects, is givin such a dreadful transfer. It seems to be from the old-fashioned laser disc. The characterize is flat and black and to me looks powerful like the VHS copy I had already owend. Again, a really fun provocative film, but don’t inquire normal DVD quality on this one.

Me and my brother were flipping through the TV channels, and nothing was on, I mean nothing. Anyway we got to the Movie Channel (STAR Movies) and saw what looked like the opening credits, and then gargantuan blue words came across the mask reading “F/X.” So we watched it, saw if it was any grand. Let me say we were glorious surprised! It was glorious clear that it was shot on a obscene budget. That made me like it all the more! Becuase you usually rep a illustrious rich director and writers to effect together a estimable action/suspense movie. But those movies, sience the director has alot of money he fair figures he’ll blow the hell out of everything. It gets aesthetic annoying. But that is what I appreciate about this movie. Sense they didn’t have a lot of money they kept the movie trustworthy was the writing and directing. Dispite the name (F/X) it is not what the movie reliys on. It relies on a intellectual state and even smarter dwelling twists. You never know who the villian is. Plus the well mantled suspense is a plus. I cant say the biggest share of the location, but I can sya what it starts with. This aussie dude who makes special FX for movies (hense the name) is assigned to stage an assination on a gang member (but not really slay him, unbiased fabricate it inspect like he got killed with his special enact tricks. But after that it impartial takes so many turns, it makes it into a astonishing whodunit. I reccomend this for anyone who enjoys a well written and directed whodunit that will support you thinking and guesing till the last bullet is shot.

It is particularly lovely to peruse Brown and Grier, who, as one of the expert reviewers famed, have obsolete very very well. However, the re-ignition of their aged relationship is tepid and seemingly forced. By incompatibility, it has nowhere arrive the intensity seen when barely restrained Brown confronts a gang leader about the destroy of his son.

I agree that the simplistic position and the consistent (and predictable) violence retain this from being one of the astronomical films of our time. Those who remember the first time seeing these individuals in character now some thirty years ago will savor seeing them all together again, and that makes this disc worthwhile.
