Finally, fans of this point to can gain the classic episodes we grew up on and enjoyed. It’s extraordinary to me how considerable more realisticly they tried to ground television series wait on then. This present imparticular went out of it’s method to stick suitable to the comics it was based on, several major storylines were told in multi-part episodes too which is something I don’t spy as great anymore. I’m determined any fan will treasure this second volume as it contains the unbelievable Pheonix storyline. They tried to pull it off in ‘X3: The Last Stand’, and though I enjoyed it, for me they didn’t manage to top the five parter that told the saga in this engaging series. There are no special features on this space and though I’d obviously appreciate special features I’m willing to be delighted with fair the episodes if that’s all they’ll give us for now. I’m one of the people who hopes that trustworthy sales on these volumes will lead to the release of the others and possible special features in the future. I also hope that well-behaved sales on these sets could lead to the release of Marvel’s 90’s Spider-man series in sets like this.
Having now found the time to see the DVD I want to say for those wondering that the video quality is approach the same as I remember the recent broadcast being. Any transfer issues are reach unnoticeable to me and I am fairly particular about not being distracted by technical issues while watching my DVD. Obviously the animation quality is from the early nineties but really I secure it surprisingly fairly on par with the modern Wolverine and the X-men series. I found watching the episodes very nostalgic and fetch myself enjoying them in a whole modern scheme now than I did when I was younger. I’m contented to peruse that the “Previously on X-men” openings are kept on the episodes and that the opening sequence and classic theme play before every episode unlike some other sets.
I also want to add that the box art is even better looking on the staunch location than it is online. It comes with a cardboard slipcover over the DVD with an elevated foil colored version of the artwork on the DVD. At least Disney really made these peer professional in the packaging department.
For those mild wondering whether these sets are worth it I say select them or at least the first volume to test it out, it’s really only costing you a petite more than a dollar an episode for these. Anyways, I’m unbiased pleased they’re releasing this series and hope they attain releasing the entire 76 episodes this intention (hopefully later on with some special features included) . After all this time X-Men finally rises from the ashes and is reborn on an official DVD, I can’t wait to rewatch the Shaded Phoenix episodes that will be on the hopeful 3rd volume. Thanks For Your Time.
At last, one of the finest series ever to hit animation has approach home to us. Marvel’s X Men the Absorbing Series Vols 1 & 2 bring to life the droll book as few other series did. These volumes, especially the second, prove the depth of these characters and the lovely animation quality that made this series a hit. I am cheerful to add these to my library.
But let us be positive, here. The first volume finishes into the second season. The second volume takes us through the rest of season two and into season three. But the second volume does NOT complete the third season.
And that leaves us with and unfinished season three, PLUS season four and five! Granted, after the Sad Phoenix Saga the episodes were shown more randomly and few were in order. However now we should aid with further DVDS that allow us to sight the remaining shows in order.
So I serve everyone to lift Vol 1&2 but realize there must be more to reach. PLEASE RELEASE THE REMAINING EPISODES. For us, the X-Men legal followers, if you release it, we will pick and thank you.
